Window Display for SPYDER at the SportScheck throughout Germany

After the successful national Point of Sale (POS) campaign, for which Heckhaus produced several visual merchandising tools, the sports brand Spyder AG relied on our design competence again. The new assignment was to dynamically and attractively present the Spyder brand in the well-known sports retail chain SportScheck. Heckhaus developed an individual and unique shop window design to present Spyder’s ski sports jackets. The design concept was implemented in 5 SportScheck stores throughout Germany.

Adapted to the needs of our customer, combined with the requirements of the market, we fulfilled the task from the development of an initial idea to the final implementation in retail. Heckhaus developed two design solutions on request. The approach here was that each store could be considered according to its particular situation; thus highlights as well as minimalistic-cool variants were created, which at the same time ensured the best result.

The absolute priority in this project was the correct and efficient use of space.
Another goal of the window design was to transform the two-dimensional window surface into a three-dimensional storyteller. At the same time, it was also very important to convey the personality of the brand correctly – Spyder stands for a thrilling and adrenaline-laden skiing experience, courageous actions and modern protective clothing technology. We developed and implemented a stylish, modern and minimalist concept. A dark background with a reduced mountain landscape, graphically and thematically adapted to the ski theme, formed the basis.

The focus was on the presentation of the ski jackets, which float elevated between the window and the background and enhance the 3D feeling, in line with the campaign’s name – ELEVATE. To increase the effect, the illusion of a “spider’s web” is created. The shapes of the mountains in the background were highlighted with targeted lighting and the “web” was created with red ropes. As a final touch and to make the best use of the space, the outer parts of the window were covered with snow-look foils, as well as the company logo and the Gore Tex technology logo. The high-quality shop window design was currently implemented in five SportScheck branches in Munich, Berlin, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Hanover.

Point Of Sale Merchandising for SPYDER

As visual merchandising professionals, we at Heckhaus understand the importance of choosing a trusthworthy design agency to produce high quality and versatile branding visuals. We don’t shy away from  proving ourselves, but we are also aware that different clients will have different needs, therfore we are prepared to tailor our services for each individual project.

One such case was our recent project with SPYDER Europe AG. The company was on the look out for a relieable visual merchandising producer, who would bring to life their existing point of sale ideas. SPYDER were confident that the retail design they developed reflected their brand identity and therefore requested from us to complete the production process.

Our task was to quickly produce several pieces of point of sale merchandising, including gondolas- one of the most versatile fixtures used to display a variety of products, slatwall signs, slatwall faceout caps, table toppers and ceiling signs.  All these merchandising tools were produced to fit well into any sport shop’s interior. Due to the variety of sizes we produced, all visual merchandising allowed for their creative and strategic placement all over the shops. The choice of materials also guaranteed for their durability. Adaptability is an important factor in any shop design, therefore all the white merchandising tools allow for an easy change of the images they display – new promotion-new photos-quick and easy.

All together, Heckhaus was responsible for producing around 700 individual visual merchandising tools, which are to become part SPYDER’s branding campaign in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). This project was another job well done and the beginning of a new professional partnership. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with SPYDER again in the near future. We are already working on brand new exciting concepts for the upcoming winter season and cannot wait to show you what’s to come.
